Ai as a discrimination tool in schools

There are about a million ways mass adoption of AI in schools is terrible.

But I keep thinking about all the times growing up, we had to have fights with principals because so much of the work required the internet, was submitted through the internet, etc.

I didn’t have internet at home until after I graduated high school in 2017.
I didn’t have a phone that could confidently load a Wikipedia page until the year after.

How many times since then have people oohd and ahhhd at videos on their phone of little kids sitting outside restaurants with free Wi-Fi, trying to do their homework?

People really take for granted access to the internet.
