Post Shutdown Reflection!

Okay party people! Post shut down reflection.
What did you build in that day? Did you feed people outside your usual circle, learn, educate, think about what your step two is in a world where you’ll wake up the next day and the government still won’t care. Where we have completed the resistance we asked the state permisson to do.

Visible protests have their place, but we are not actually fighting if we stop at asking the bad people to stop being bad.
I understand that orgs are hard to find a place in (I’m a black woman that’s high risk for covid. Folks are more likely to be mad to see me alive than show real solidarity)

I recommend reading these essays and taking a moment to ask what are you building so you yourself are doing right by your values and the world you say you want to see.
