Truth #4:Labels mean nothing and they are a key part of manipulating an uninformed populace.

Labels mean nothing and they are a key part of manipulating an uninformed populace.

A major benefit to keeping the populace uninformed and too exhausted and beat down to get informed is that we will lean on labels in the hope that the label can be informative enough that we don’t have to do anything else.
But in the same way of saying “he’s a musician” does it tell you genre, the song titles, the instrument. Or saying “she’s a mother” doesn’t tell you how many kids, who are the children, what is her parenting style. Saying they’re a democrat does not tell you their stance on literally anything.
And because of that there is no such thing as a bad democrat because a democrat is anyone who signs up to be a democrat. And we’re at a point we’re having that label means more than anything they actually stand for, so there will be no punishment for not aligning with what people believe that label is supposed to mean. “vote blue no matter who” right?
I think this is very important to emphasize now as we see people “listening to Venezuelan voices” dehumanizing the people to a label. Dehumanizing the people to a monolith. Not questioning whose voices you’re listening to. Never investigating the synonymous politics of these people. Because, yes, I am deeply unsurprised that the Venezuelans that think the workers need to be civilized or killed, the Venezuelans that think Venezuela is in european country and that the indigenous people and the afro-descendant people do not belong there. Deeply unsurprising that they are cheering on a US invasion that bombed civilian populations. I’m unsurprised that a leader that does not allow those that have colluded with other nations to overthrow a popularly elected official to run for office (they can still vote. They have their own commune so essentially community government. They just can’t run for office) I’m sure that leader is considered a dictator by the Venezuelans that are online saying that they think the workers and popular majority need to be “civilized”.
Don’t act like your nation is the only one with complex political divides.
Understand that when you’re at your most tired, you most exhausted, your most burnt out with the state of the world; they want you to lean on the loudest voices because they work very hard to control who will be able to get loud. Especially when it comes to people speaking other languages.
